Pirate boat cruise to Ile aux Cerfs

Why do thing like everyone else? Why do the same thing that thousands of tourists who visit Ile aux Cerfs (Deer Island) will do? Normally, everyone will opt for a day on a catamaran or the most common, by speed boat to Ile aux Cerfs. Do you really want to do like them or do you want that your marine outing to be something exceptional that everyone will envy?

What we propose on this page is to discover Ile aux Cerfs (Deer Island) 'otherwise' in small group, a type of boat that is uncommon in the region. During this beautiful marine excursion you will be sailing with pirates on a wooden boat which is a replica of an old pirate ship, which once ran the oceans.

The day starts with boarding on the east around 9.30. On board, the crew will welcome you with local tales, jokes, and local Mauritian music. The ship will sail along the east coast to the Grand River South East waterfall and a shuttle will take you to visit the famous cascade, which is about 500 meters upstream. Then back on the pirate boat to continue sailing in the lagoon with snorkeling breaks. While snorkeling you'll get a glimpse of the beauty of our underwater world.

Around mid-day barbecue will be organize on board and a delicious lunch of chicken, fish, sausage accompanied by salad, rice, potato salad and tropical fruits will be served. Wine, beer, rum, water, soft drinks will be served all day as per wish.

To spice up the day the pirates will play you live music and a female dancer will introduce you to the traditional Mauritian dance; The Sega.

Afterwards you will land on Ile aux Cerfs (Deer Island) where you will be able to enjoy the beach and various water sports and craft markets therein. (Paid services for which we bear no responsibility)

Back on the boat by 3 PM to sail to the starting point with Sega music and dance, while enjoying appetizers and drinks.
